EXHORTATION FOR SOME-ONE

I used to wonder what Moses' offence was outside of temper. I used to try not to think badly of God for not allowing Moses makes the Promised Land, lol! You know when meditating and I get to that point I blank my mind and accept 'it' like that. Only if we would take our time to search the scriptures further and meditate on what we glean from it. It would then be ours for the keeping. To think I actually had today's passage highlighted in my bible? A brief history of Moses will show us all what Moses had risked getting the children of Israel out of Egypt. He had courted the wrath and fury of Pharaoh, had put himself in the position of an ingrate to the household of Pharaoh where he grew up. He had turned against the very system that trained him, he had forsaken the pleasures of the palace to lead his people the Israelites to the Promised Land and here, the very Promised Land was being denied him, Woo! Not fair at all, my heart screamed, till I read today's passage. Num 20:12 12 And the LORD spoke unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the land which I have given them. These are days when a lot of selfishness has invaded Christianity. People are saved today for themselves alone, and for what they would gain from Christ. They are not bothered about the other believer and the UN-believing. That is why a lot of Anti-Christ behaviours exist even within the church. It is not enough to be saved and be working for God. Our presentation of Christ to the World matter a great deal. That was what cost Moses the Promised land. How do we sanctify God in the eyes of the world? By checking our actions and inactions and its impact on people, especially young believers, especially actions that don't exactly fall into the category of 'sin'. People who are not yet grounded in the word have been known to fall out due to misdeeds of mentors. Today, we know God is very particular about this issue, that is why He could not afford to be lenient with Moses, and Moses was therefore penalized. What are the things we do, that be-little the Christ we serve before people? What do we do that makes people wonder or sneer at our faith? This is not a call to live to please people at all cost, but a call to be always conscious of our responsibility towards others as representatives of Christ. We need to believe God enough to be worthy ambassadors of him. We have to watch out for behavioural problems and worldliness. We are being watched, even by God and being scored. Don't miss the Promised Land you've labored for. MEDITATE Deut 34:4, and the Lord said unto him, this is the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shall n
